Mission
The Amoralists is a theatre company that produces work of no moral judgment. Dedicated to an honest expression of the American condition, our actor driven ensemble explores complex characters of moral ambiguity. Leaving no stone unturned, we plunge the depths of the social, political, spiritual, and sexual characteristics of human nature.
With hundreds of young companies in the theater community, The Amoralists are doing work that is widely recognized for accomplishing the aforementioned points while simultaneously making it completely accessible to all audiences - whether veteran or inexperienced theatergoers - therefore putting theater at the heart of our community and expanding the possibilities and reaches of the arts. By combining our work’s accessibility with it’s moral ambiguity, we believe that it truly initiates a startling dialogue between artist and audience.

Points of Artistic Unity
This document contains a code of creative values that artists working as part of The Amoralists adhere to and strive for.
- First, let it be said that The Amoralists will never attack or try to dictate the method in which an artist works. An artist’s process is his or her own to wield as they see fit.
- The Amoralists demand loyalty. We enter into a production as a family. Who you are becomes a part of this company.
- Ours’ is a process of constructive challenging: every facet of an Amoralists’ production will demand input. Players are not merely hired and then relieved of accountability to the story’s inception. We demand artists who dig in. Who ask questions. Who experiment.
- We seek out artists with swagger-(swagger: when confidence meets talent meets individuality).
- We demand Artists who possess:
- a willingness to facilitate a story that is larger than themselves.
- a willingness to live within the work.
- a willingness to invest all of themselves in the creative process.
- a willingness to be fearless.
